A Little Note

I refuse to give up

She wrote a little note

Hoping that words will

Convey the voice of her heart

So that he could hear her

Even in chaos

My love can’t fade

Neither can it be buried under

the layers of rationality

It’s alive and thriving

Sometimes glum

sometimes smiling

For You are the definition

Of love for me

I have not known it

Any other way

And I don’t want to give it

Any other name

Sealed with love

The note was sent

Through the dole of doves

Esoteric Bond

Everytime she looks at their journey Rereading the chapters
And revisiting the moment
Of their meeting
She gets engulfed by the sense of awe

The strangers who
never felt like strangers
The moments so brief
Yet enough to make
a lifetime of memories

Was it a coincidence
Or was it something their
Souls were seeking
Is still a mystery
But it sure makes
Their bond esoteric
A little beyond things
That are worldly

Love

I refuse to give up

If Love was just a verb

Which had to be expressed

Only Through actions

Then the ones with no vision

Would have never known it’s existence

If it was only about

Saying Beautiful nothings

Then the ones with no voice

Would have never known it’s existence

If it was only about

Listening to I love you

Morning, day and night

Then the ones who can not hear

Would have never known it’s existence

Love is a little above these senses

It is to be felt in your heart

And fill it with warmth

For Love is not a verb

I Want To

I want to shrug off the pain
And snap out of the pangs
Which come along with “what ifs”
By Swapping them with “what is

I want to celebrate you
Even from afar
Your life, your travels
Those little joys which make you smile
Things you have achieved
And those which are yet to arrive

I want to remove from my feelings
The condition of reciprocation
Or fear of repudiation
I want to celebrate you for who you are
And while I do that

I also want to embrace myself
With all my flaws
And keep the
warmth of this undefined bond
Forever in my heart

Astound

I refuse to give up

She wished she could say

She never thinks about him

But that would be a lie

She wished she could say

The invisible thread

That entwined her heart to his

Had finally snapped

But hers was still trapped

She wished she could claim

What she felt for him

Was not love but a trice

And her heart

was as cold as ice

But his presence

Had a magnetic force

Making her immovable

As if her feet were

rooted in the ground

And At her own absurdity

She often felt astound

The Grip

I refuse to give up

Love is like sand

The tighter the grip

The faster it slips

Open your hands

If you want to

hold this Sand

Moisten it with trust

Then even the gust

Will fail to

Whisk it away

Sway if you may

No fear… no disarray

Through rough days

It’ll sleigh

Try and dust it away

It’ll find it’s place

In plicas of your fingers

And spaces in

your nails.
